The 2 Sessions
Beginner → Confident, step by stepModel It & Print It
Hands-on projects: a simple emoji face, a 4-inch drink coaster, and a basic land vehicle
Attendees learn the Autodesk Fusion interface, essential CAD and sketching terminology, navigation, file management, sketch constraints, and extrusion. The session introduces slicer software, the CAD-to-print workflow, and the differences between PLA, PETG, ABS, and ASA.
Design It, Customize It & Optimize It
Hands-on project: a parametric box with joints, latches, and screw fastening
Attendees learn how to inspect and remix existing models, organize multi-part designs, plan holes and clearances for hardware, and use heat-set threaded inserts. The session covers advanced slicer settings, material selection, and an introduction to Tripo AI for generating and refining 3D concepts.
How It All Fits Together
workshop philosophyDon’t just download it. Don’t just generate it. Learn to design it, understand it, improve it, tailor it for you — and then print it.
Intended outcome: the goal is not to make attendees expert CAD designers in four hours. It is to provide a solid starting point, hands-on experience, and confidence to keep learning after the workshop.
